Freaks of Nature Desserts | GF, DF, V, Ve

I’m 100% sure people with and without dietary restrictions will adore these products, I also absolutely love the attention to detail with the packaging of these products! Often free from products or either free from flavour and/or free from a variety of textures, however Freaks of Nature products are packed full of fresh, delicious flavour and are, at least, comparable with similar standard products on the market. Let’s get into the products I’ve tried and what I thought about them…

Mango Fandango

Vanilla posset with mango and passion fruit coulis, topped with pistachios.

Ice cream is something I’ve definitely missed since going dairy free, in particularly Solero ice lollies, and that’s perhaps why I’m now so obsessed with the Mano Fandango as it reminds me perfectly of the Solero lolly. The pot is filled with a wonderfully thick and smooth vanilla posset which perfectly complements the smooth and fruity passion fruit coulis. The pistachios that come with the posset are in a separate container, which is perfect for those who would prefer to have without.

Ingredients: Cashew Blend (Water, Cashews), Mango Purée (24.6%), Water, Coconut Milk, Passion Fruit Purée (10.4%), Coconut Nectar, Coconut Oil, Lemon Juice, Pistachios (2.0%), Corn Starch, Coconut Sugar, Vanilla Powder.

Choc & Awe

Dairy free chocolate and caramel cheesecake with gluten-free oat base.

The cheesecake pot consists of three layers, a rich chocolate layer which isn’t too intense (perfect for me), a caramel layer which has quite a mild flavour but still tastes delicious and has such silky smooth texture. Finally, the light, crumbly base finishes the cheesecake so perfectly. I absolutely love the oaty flavour, rather than the typical shortbread or plain biscuit.

Ingredients: Cashew Blend (Water, Cashews), Coconut Milk, Coconut Nectar, Gluten-Free Oats, Gluten-Free Oat Flour, Dates, Cacao Powder, Coconut Oil, Cacao Butter, Coconut Sugar, Corn Starch, Sea Salt.
